Ion Group has decided to conduct a residential conference and global induction program and all the event planning, management, production and on-site arrangement were handled by Showmakerz.
This was a twelve days long residential conference cum global induction event and went successfully at venue Leela Convention, Delhi. Around hundred rooms were booked for twelve days for 200 guests, which included new recruited employees and the influencers within the company from across the globe.
Ion first ever global induction initiative in India which was held in 2018 was also successfully curate by EMG Showmakerz Pvt. Ltd. And this year again in 2019, when they planned a similar program, we got the honor to plan & manage the same.

Residential Conference Event
Starting from welcome day, Showmakerz had their hands on surprising guests with warm hospitality & magnificently created event set up. Set up had an extensive branding. Aesthetically done string logo was the major attraction along with pillar wraps, 3d laser cut logo, photo op, huge set up & nicely done conference stationery, centerpieces and branded giveaways.Arrival day had some neatly crafted team building activities as ice breaker and a welcome dinner.
Day one started with the mega launch of the program with 3D- mapping of event logo. And after the launch and introduction speech by country head, a series of back to back presentations, breakout sessions, group discussions started, which went on every day for five days.
In between these presentations during residential conference event, participants had an opportunity to visit Ion's Noida office. Where they attended different sessions in live office environment. They also had an opportunity to meet old employees and tis interaction helped them to understand company culture and values.
Cultural Night Gala Dinner
Day 4th had a Gala DJ night to break the monotony. Majority of the participants were from the foreign countries, but they enjoyed bollywood music like anything.. And to our surprise many were trying to lip sync poplar bollywood and punjabi numbers. Laser lights & Delhi's street food stalls added a magnificent charm.
And day 5th had a mega gala cultural night. All the participants were given exclusive Indian attire like long skirts and tops for girls and khadi kurta for boys. They all were excited by wearing this dress code. Apart from the aptly decorated venue , surprise element was the dance instructor, who played their choreographer and managed to play all of them dandiya dance with live dhol.
Live carnival fun fair stalls like mehndi stall Indian handicraft stall, tattoo stall, pagri tying stall, gun shoot and toss the rings etc.. added fun and laughter and filled the gaps. Everybody enjoyed these stalls and many won the goodies at "play to win" carnival stalls. Carefully chosen Indian handicraft and hand-made jewelry as winner's prize were the major attraction of the party night.
Day Trip To Agra
First weekend was little relaxing as we had a day trip to Agra. Road journey was all fun with lots of music , games and snacks during the journey. Everybody was awe-stuck with the mesmerizing beauty of Taj Mahal. Apart from Taj, we had visited many other places of historical interests like Fatehpur Sikri and Agra Fort etc. Local shopping was much of fun and delighted everybody. It was a one day trip and we came back in the evening.
Next day we had a short sightseeing trip to Humayun Tomb , India gate and some other local places in the capital. Local food , local market and historical charms of capital city wooed everybody
Final Presentations Day
Next week started with busier schedule with more presentations, break out rooms sessions, group discussions, local visit to Noida office, team practices etc. Things seems more serious as the final day of team presentation was approaching.Just a day before final presentation, everybody enjoyed a pool side dinner. Idea behind this dinner was to make participants relaxed and calm to prepare for the next day final presentation. Highlight of the day was laser show projected on hotel's wall and water bodies.
Finally, it was a presentation day. Each team was given an opportunity to make a presentation of their learnings and final idea for their projectss. All the winner were recognized with a prestigious trophy. And the formal session ended gracefully on 12th day.
Karaoke Night
Hold On ! Things seems not getting to an end. After the presentation, there was a karaoke night waiting for all participants. This was a surprise party with karaoke music, drinks & dinner and was organized in the venue's club house. People were so excited singing songs in their language. It was all fun, it was a party to remember. Everybody liked this surprised karaoke night party and participated whole heartedly.
Next day, all the participants spent their day with underprivileged children as special initiative by Ion Group as their CSR activity. They played with them for hours and distributed many gifts & utilities.
Everybody appreciated the wonderful and seamless execution by Showmakerz. Showmakerz once again proved their strength as the best corporate event management company.
